Located strategically in the heart of Ibadan’s bustling culinary district at 93, MKO Abiola Way, after Iyana-Adeoyo Round-about, Ring Road, Ibadan, the new establishment promises a unique blend of traditional suya flavors with a contemporary twist.

Sooya Bistro, popular for its commitment to quality and innovation in Lagos State where it boasts of nine different outlets at different locations, has spared no expense in designing the new spot in Ibadan to provide an upscale dining experience for residents and visitors in Ibadan the capital city of Oyo state.

The Founder and CEO of Enterprise, Mrs. Olamiju Ogundoyin, wife of the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, told newsmen after the official commissioning on Sunday, that the business was inspired by the social life of residents and enabling business environment in the metropolis.

“We are thrilled to bring our unique brand of ethnic cuisine to Ibadan, a city that shares our values of culture, community, and entrepreneurship. Our goal is to celebrate Nigerian food and culture nationwide and internationally.”

“Sooyah Bistro’s expansion to Ibadan is another dream come true and mission accomplished, and we are ready to further explore the business friendly environment of Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo. Our company is known for quality and we shall not renege on this.

“I started Sooyah Bistro in 2018 with a Suya Mallam and N20,000 worth of stock. We’ve grown this far— not through loans or investments but organically because of how much our Suya Fam love our food and support the brand!

In his brief remarks, the Speaker commended the resilience of his wife who is also the proprietor of Sooyah Bistro and her industrious ability to transform a twenty thousand naira business into big enterprise in less than ten years.

Ogundoyin, who is also the chairman, Nigeria Conference of Speakers of State Lgislature, also lauded the team spirit of all members of staff that has made it possible to launch the 10th outlet and first of it in Ibadan.

As a proud husband of the founder, Olamidun Ogundoyin, I have had the privilege of witnessing the hard work and dedication that has gone into building this brand. Today, we celebrate not just the opening of a new branch but the realization of a vision to bring people together through good food and warm hospitality.

Earlier, the Oyo State Commissioner For Energy, Barr. Seun Ashamu who performed the official opening ceremony described the new branch as another mission accomplished by the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sooyah Bistro, Mrs Olamidun Ogundoyin.

“Distinguished guests, ladies, and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to perform the official opening of Sooyah Bistro’s Ibadan branch. I congratulate the founder, Olamidun Ogundoyin, who is the wife of the Oyo State Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin on this achievement.

“Sooyah Bistro’s expansion to Ibadan is a testament to the enabling business environment and the growth potentials of our dear state. As Commissioner for Energy, I recognize the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation in driving economic development.

” I encourage Sooyah Bistro to continue providing excellent services and creating opportunities for our citizens. I also urge the management to explore ways to partner with our government to promote tourism and economic growth in Oyo State.” Oyo Commissioner For Energy said

The ambiance according to guests at the event was described as sleek and modern, featuring elegant decor and comfortable seating arrangements conducive to both intimate gatherings and lively social events.

Present at the classy event are members of Oyo state House of Assembly; Honourable Babajide Gabriel, Hon. Modiu Akande, and Hon. Olushola Owolabi as well as Justice Olatokunbo Majekodunmi of Ogun state High Court.

Others are the executive chairman of Ibarapa Central, Hon. Sola Adeleke, former Commissioner for Youth and Sports and present Senior Special Assistant on Youth and Sports to Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seun Fakorede, Engr. Toye Ogundoyin amd wife as well as other members of Ogundoyin’s family.
