The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Legislative Matters, Honorable Samuel Adejumobi popularly known as ‘Agbarapo,’ has lauded the Otun Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, over his successful coronation as a crowned beaded Oba.

The former Majority Leader of Oyo state House of Assembly described Oba Ladoja as an illustrious son of Ibadanland and by extension, Oyo state as a whole.

A congrulatory message by the Governor’s aide made exclusively available to westernmirror.com.ng on Tuesday, August 13 also hailed the Olubadan, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin and his Council for what he described as unity of purpose within its leadership.

While commending governor Seyi Makinde for being a typical Yoruba ‘Omoluabi’ by expanding the prestige of the Olubadan traditional institution via effecting an amendment to the Oyo state chieftaincy law which provides for an elevation of titles and status of members of the Olubadan in-council from Chiefs to Obas, ‘Agbarapo’ said the beauty of Ibadan traditional institution spans beyond the shores of Africa to the rest of the world.

‘Agbarapo’ emphasized that Oba Ladoja’s beaded crown, which is a traditional symbol of authority and honor, stands as a testament to his greatness and enduring influence in the whole of Ibadanland.

“Oba Ladoja’s beaded crown is not merely a ceremonial artifact, it is a symbol of authority, prestige, and honor for the former senator of the federal republic and governor of Oyo state.

“It symbolizes the profound respect and admiration he has earned through his exemplary leadership and dedication to the advancement of Ibadanland and its people.

“I want to on behalf of my family and my office congratulate His Royal Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on this development and pray that God grants him long life filled with good health to achieve more of his hopes and aspirations in life. Agbarapo said.
