
In a bid to foster strategic alliances and community development, the Lagelu & District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has initiated a mutually beneficial collaboration with popular Ibadan-based radio station, Fresh FM.
This was marked by a courtesy visit on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, to the Fresh FM Chairman, Dr. Olayinka Joel Ayefele, MON, at his Ayefele Music House headquarters, located in Challenge, Ibadan.
Leading the delegation was the Pioneer Chairman of the ICAN Lagelu & District Society, Chief (Mrs) Omokemi Oladipo, FCA, who was accompanied by a high-powered team of professionals and elders within the accounting community.
Among them were renowned veteran, Pa. A.A. Elujoba, Dr. (Prince) Oyebade Oyedepo, the District Vice-Chairman, Mr. Patterson Ariemuduigho, and Elder Marcus Akobi, all FCA recipients.
The visit was characterized by a warm and cordial atmosphere, with Dr. Ayefele receiving the ICAN delegation with open arms while appreciating them for their contributions to both the society and the Accounting profession.
The team commended Dr. Ayefele for his resilience, innovation, and unparalleled contributions to Nigeria’s media and entertainment industry.
In her remarks, Chief (Mrs) Oladipo praised Dr. Ayefele not only for his musical excellence and widespread influence but also for his outstanding role in creating employment opportunities through his media enterprise.
She emphasized the need for institutions like Fresh FM and professional bodies like ICAN to work hand in hand for the socio-economic advancement of Ibadan and Nigeria at large.
