The Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general elections and leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has received thousands of defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) into the NNPP in Kano State.
Kwankwaso made the announcement via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday, stating that the defection ceremony took place at his residence in Kano.
“Yesterday was a momentous occasion, as I received thousands of defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) into the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP),” the former Kano State governor wrote.
He welcomed the new members warmly and assured them of fairness and inclusion within the party structure.
“I promised them equitable treatment and cooperation,” he stated. “The distinguished leadership style in Kano and our political direction keep attracting more people into our fold.”
Kwankwaso added that the continued influx of members into the NNPP is a testament to the party’s growing influence in Kano and beyond.
He urged other Nigerians who share the NNPP’s vision for good governance to join the party without hesitation.
