
A global digital transformation and cyber security consultant, Ololade Usman Bakare, has officially inaugurated the “Igbega Oyo” initiative.
The IT expert revealed that the initiative is a social and democratic movement dedicated to building a future that works for everyone through inclusive development in education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
Powered by the Ololade Usman Bakare Foundation, the initiative is designed to help the less privileged in Oyo State overcome socio-economic challenges and access life-changing opportunities.
Westernmirror.com.ng reports that, as an indigene of Ibadan, Oyo State, Bakare is known as a result-driven public leader and changemaker, passionate about leveraging technology and innovation for sustainable development.
Since its inception, “Igbega Oyo” has extended support to numerous individuals, offering scholarships, paying school fees, and providing various forms of assistance to help beneficiaries achieve their dreams.
The initiative has also reached beyond education, and touched lives in communities such as the Iyanda family compound in Isale Bode, Ibadan.
Most recently, “Igbega Oyo” awarded scholarships to students across Ibadanland, paying WAEC fees for indigent candidates and distributing food packages to widows and vulnerable households.
Speaking in a telephone interview with newsmen, Bakare described the Igbega Oyo initiative as “a platform to deliver free humanitarian services for the well-being of the needy and vulnerable.”
He explained that upcoming programs will empower hundreds of underprivileged individuals including students, widows, and persons with disabilities, with cash grants, scholarships, and empowerment tools across all 33 local government areas of Oyo State.
Bakare reaffirmed his commitment to driving positive change and creating inclusive growth opportunities for the people of Oyo State, stating that Igbega Oyo will remain a catalyst for transformation and social upliftment.
