The founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has condemned Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore, over his recent comments describing President Bola Tinubu as a criminal, saying such remark was unpatriotic.
In a statement released from his Ibadan-based ashram, Maharaj Ji described Sowore’s outburst as a sign of “political infancy and moral rough-riding,” adding that no citizen has the right to label the nation’s leader a criminal without proof.
“Sowore’s latest arrest by the police should serve as an opportunity for him to learn the right lessons about Nigeria’s political and leadership realities. It is absolutely wrong to call the Head of State a criminal. Sowore has a case to answer,” he said.
The spiritual leader advised Sowore to exercise restraint and maturity in his political engagements. According to him, the activist’s “childish verbal power” and “reactionary temperament” have continued to undermine whatever credibility he might claim to have.
Maharaj Ji argued that Sowore’s approach to politics only plays into the hands of “foreign interests” working to destabilize Nigeria.
“The entire members of Nigeria’s political class are being manipulated by the same European and Arab forces that set Nigeria up to fail. Sowore’s method only increases the country’s volatility, which benefits those foreign powers,” he stated.
He went further to criticize Sowore’s agitation for the release of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, describing it as a display of ignorance about the deeper international dynamics behind Kanu’s travails.
“That case is far bigger than Sowore’s capacity,” Maharaj Ji stated. “It involves heavy international forces with colonial and economic interests. Britain and America do not want a truly free and prosperous Nigeria.”
According to the spiritual leader, both Kanu and Sowore fail to understand the complexity of Nigeria’s colonial structure and the spiritual dimensions of the country’s challenges.
“The solution to Nigeria’s problems is far more spiritual than physical. Those holding Nigeria down use advanced spiritual powers to achieve their anti-Nigeria objectives. Victory against them must also be spiritual,” he added.
Maharaj Ji insisted that he and his devotees have “saved Nigeria” from the destructive plots of foreign powers through spiritual engagement and divine intervention.
He urged Sowore and other activists to seek “Divine Knowledge” from him if they truly wish to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s progress.
“If Sowore genuinely wants to work for Nigeria’s rescue, he should come for Divine Knowledge to understand what is really going on beyond noise and emotions. Calling the President a criminal without evidence is unacceptable and against the rule of law,” he counseled.
