The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, has celebrated his colleague in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Seun Olufade on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
Olatunji described the anniversary as a moment to celebrate leadership, service, and commitment to grassroots development.
In a congratulatory message on Saturday, Olatunji praised the Ibadan North chairman for what he called steady and people-focused governance at the grassroots.
He noted that local government administration remains the closest tier of government to the people and requires empathy as much as capacity.
He said the birthday offered an opportunity to reflect on the responsibility of public office and the impact of policies on everyday lives, adding that his Olufade, who he described as a brother and personal friend, had continued to demonstrate dedication to inclusive governance and community engagement.
Olatunji commended the cordial relationship between both local governments, stressing that collaboration rather than competition was the force behind the sustainable development recorded across Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.
He wished the celebrant good health, renewed strength, and greater wisdom in the task of governance, expressing confidence that the coming years would bring even more meaningful contributions to public service.
The Oluyole chairman also reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to deepen inter-local government cooperation in areas of development, security, and social welfare, saying progress was best achieved when leaders worked together with a shared vision and sense of purpose.
