The Director of Public Affairs and Family Assistance at the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, NSIB, Hon. Bimbo Olawumi Oladeji, has urged political leaders, stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State to remain united and mobilised in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general election.
Oladeji described the task as a shared responsibility that is critical not only to Oyo State but to the wider South West zone, stressing that collective commitment within the party would determine electoral success.
The former lawmaker, who represented Ogbomoso North State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly between 2015 and 2023, made the call while speaking with journalists at the APC Unity Rally organised by the party in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Ambassadors. The rally was held across all the 14 federal constituencies in Oyo State.
She said President Tinubu had exceeded the expectations of many Nigerians in key areas of governance, particularly in the management of the nation’s economy.
According to her, recent developments, including reductions in the prices of foodstuffs and Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, popularly known as petrol, reflect the impact of the administration’s policies.
Oladeji noted that the President’s economic reforms have contributed to improved stability of the naira, enhanced security efforts against insurgency, and stronger collaboration among the three arms of government.
She added that indications from the 2026 budgetary allocations suggest improved prospects for national development in the coming years.
Commending party stakeholders in the state, the NSIB director praised APC leaders for setting aside differences to strengthen the party’s structure ahead of future elections.
She said the renewed unity would position the APC to win all elective offices in Oyo State in the next general election.
“In the 2023 elections, we delivered Oyo State for our father and national leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
We also won the three senatorial seats and nine out of the 14 House of Representatives positions. With reconciliation and our resolve to unite as one, the APC will win all the elective positions come 2027,” she said.
Oladeji emphasised the need to translate party support into mass votes for President Tinubu, insisting that Oyo State must deliver results that reflect its political relevance and population strength.
She also appealed to eligible voters across the state to take advantage of ongoing voter registration exercises by visiting offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and registration areas to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards.
According to her, the voter’s card remains the most powerful instrument for electing and re-electing credible leaders.
The former lawmaker expressed appreciation to APC leaders in Oyo State, the state executive council led by the chairman, Alhaji Olayide Abas, members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, past and former senators, members of the House of Representatives, political appointees, and party members, particularly those from Ogbomoso zone, for what she described as a peaceful and successful rally.
She reaffirmed her commitment to selfless service, assuring the people that efforts would continue to ensure they feel the dividends of democracy.
