The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and governorship aspirant, Adebo Ogundoyin, has described the growing recognition of his “structured approach” and preparedness for leadership as a major source of inspiration in his ongoing consultations ahead of the 2027 governorship race.

Ogundoyin made this known on Tuesday on his official Facebook page on Tuesday following a strategic engagement with leaders and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party across the five local government areas of Ibadan.

The lawmaker noted that the interaction reaffirmed his confidence in the unity and strength of the party.

“Ibadan holds a special place in the political heartbeat of Oyo State, and today’s engagement with our respected PDP leaders and stakeholders across the five LGAs of the main city was both meaningful and encouraging,” the Speaker stated.

According to him, the consultation was driven by a clear objective to listen, share his vision, and seek collective support toward shaping the future of the state under what he described as the “IGBEGA OYO OMITUNTUN 3.0” agenda.

He emphasized that his aspiration is rooted not in personal ambition but in a commitment to service and continuity.

“I came with a clear purpose, to listen, to share my vision, and to seek their support as we collectively shape the future of our dear state,” he said.

“This journey is not about ambition for its own sake; it is about service, continuity, and building on the solid foundation already laid.”

Ogundoyin further commended the depth of experience and insight demonstrated by party leaders across Ibadan North, North-East, North-West, South-East, and South-West, adding that their feedback reinforced his belief that the PDP remains cohesive and forward-looking.

“The depth of experience, insight, and commitment displayed by leaders across the Ibadan zones reinforces my belief that our party remains strong, united, and forward-looking,” he added.

“Their recognition of our structured approach, consistency, and readiness for leadership is not taken for granted.”

He also reiterated his commitment to sustaining and expanding the developmental strides of Governor Seyi Makinde, stressing that his vision is anchored on consolidating existing gains while strengthening institutions for long-term growth.

“Together, we can consolidate progress, strengthen our institutions, and deliver even greater development across Oyo State,” Ogundoyin said.

He however expressed appreciation to party leaders for their support and assuring that consultations would continue across the state.
