The governor, in a letter dated May 26, 2026, and referenced SP/S.663/2/VOL. III/436, addressed to the Speaker of the House, requested the lawmakers to subject the nominees to thorough but speedy legislative screening and confirmation processes.

The letter was signed by the Special Adviser (Media) to the Governor, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

Part of the letter read: “I write to notify the Honourable Speaker and Members of the House of my desire to present the following individuals for screening and confirmation for appointment as Commissioners in our State:

“This nomination is in compliance with the provisions of Section 192 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).

“It is my hope that the process for the screening and approval of the nominees will receive the usual kind and expeditious consideration of the Honourable Speaker and Members of the House.

“Please accept the assurances of my personal regards.”

Dr Oyeleke previously served as Commissioner for Environment in the state, while Ojo is a former member of the Assembly who represented Saki East/Atisbo State Constituency.
