A former lawmaker in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Femi Josiah, has congratulated the Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Interfaith Matters, Rev. Femi Ibikunle, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.

Josiah, who was also a former Special Assistant to the governor on Community Relation, described Ibikunle as a bridge builder whose contributions to the administration of Governor Makinde have strengthened unity, peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding among people of different faiths in the state.

In his congratulatory message forwarded to westernmirror.com.ng on Tuesday, the former lawmaker commended Ibikunle for the manner in which he has carried out his responsibilities in what was described as a delicate and highly sensitive office.

He noted that Ibikunle’s commitment to promoting religious harmony aligns with the inclusive governance philosophy of the Makinde administration.

He said Ibikunle had distinguished himself through humility, accessibility and dedication to the peace and development of Oyo State.

Josiah added that Ibikunle’s role had become increasingly important in promoting and deepening dialogue and understanding among the various religious communities in the state.

Josiah said: “You are performing your role as a bridge builder in Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration exceptionally well.

“Your commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence and understanding among people of different faiths is worthy of commendation.

“Your approach to the assignment demonstrates that leadership is not only about occupying an office but also about building relationships, encouraging dialogue and creating an atmosphere where everyone feels valued and respected.”

He prayed for God to grant Ibikunle continued wisdom, sound health and strength to discharge his responsibilities, while wishing him many more years of impactful service to humanity and Oyo State.

Josiah also expressed confidence that Ibikunle would continue to contribute positively to the Makinde administration’s efforts to sustain peace, unity and development across the state at a higher political designation.

He urged the celebrant to remain committed to his calling and public service, describing his birthday as an opportunity to celebrate not only his life but also his contributions to Oyo’s sociopolitical, religious, and socioeconomic development.
