The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, will on Saturday, September 5, 2026, be conferred with the honorary chieftaincy title of Aare Asoludero of Ibarapa Land.

The conferment according to the Palace announcement, is part of activities marking the first coronation anniversary of the Eleruwa of Eruwaland and the official commissioning of the monarch’s Royal Palace in Eruwa.

According to an official announcement issued by the Directorate of Media and Public Communications to the Eleruwa of Eruwaland, the grand finale of the week-long royal celebration will take place at the Eleruwa Palace, Oke Oba, Eruwa, from 10:00 a.m.

The ceremony will be conducted by the Eleruwa of Eruwaland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola Ajobo Olurin I.

The ceremony will also feature the installation of the First Lady of Oyo State as Yeye Aare Asoludero of Ibarapa Land.

The royal celebration commenced on Wednesday, September 2, with a cultural parade at New Garage, Eruwa, while a novelty football match is scheduled for Thursday at the Eruwa Stadium.

A special Jumat service will hold on Friday, September 4, at the Eruwa Central Mosque by 1:00 p.m., ahead of the grand finale on Saturday.

The activities will be rounded off on Sunday, September 6, with an interdenominational thanksgiving service at the First Baptist Church, Eruwa, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
