The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Oyo State, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, has donated a patrol motorcycle to local security operatives in Ayegun Oleyo community to strengthen grassroots security and support their operations.

The motorcycle was presented to the Integrity Group, a local security outfit led by Mr. Adetunji Alabi, at an event held in Ayegun Oleyo, fulfilling a promise made by the council chairman during an earlier meeting with members of the group several months ago.

Speaking at the event, the Baale of Ayegun Oleyo, Chief Kabiru Olajide, commended Olatunji for fulfilling his pledge, describing the council chairman as a man of his word.

Olatunji expressed confidence that the motorcycle will enhance the operatives’ mobility and improve their capacity to respond to security concerns within the community and its surrounding areas.

“Every security is local and we understand the need continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that our people can go about their lives in a safe and peaceful environment.

“That’s why we’re committed to support and strategic collaboration with governments at all levels, private and public institutions as well as privileged individuals.

“Security being one of the cardinal pillars of the Governor Seyi Makinde’s government has been our top priority in Oluyole local government,” Olatunji said.

Chief Kabiru Olajide, Baale Ayegun Oleyo, who represented Oluyole Council of Traditional Leaders, described Olatunji in his remark as a man of honor, integrity and and unmatched passion for his people.

According to the traditional leader, Olatunji had demonstrated that he was committed to keeping promises made to the people, adding that his actions had reinforced the community’s confidence in his leadership.

Olajide also pledged the support of the community for the council chairman’ House of Reps ambition, saying the people were prepared to support him at the polls.

He expressed confidence in Olatunji’s leadership abilities, adding that the chairman would perform even better if given the opportunity to serve at the federal level.

Also, the leader of the Integrity Group, Alabi, expressed appreciation to Olatunji for honouring his commitment to the security operatives.

Alabi said his experience with the council chairman had changed his perception of politicians, explaining that he had previously believed politicians were largely the same until he encountered Olatunji and witnessed his actions.

He prayed for the chairman’s success in the forthcoming elections, arguing that leaders who demonstrated genuine concern for the welfare of the people deserved to occupy positions of greater responsibility.

Describing Olatunji as a true man of the people, Alabi said the donation represented a practical demonstration of the chairman’s commitment to supporting those working to protect lives and property at the grassroots.
