Prince Olaide Dahood Oladimeji of Agunloye royal family at Isale Oja in Oyo town has expressed his faith in the abilities and capacity of His Imperial Majesty, Iku Baba Yeye, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, the Alaafin of Oyo.

Recall that the ancient town of Oyo has since been greeted with celebration and jubilation following the official presentation of staff and certificate of office to Oba Owoade, an occasion that has also drawn admiration and well wishes from within and outside Nigeria.

According to his message, Prince Dahood described the new Alaafin’s forthcoming official coronation as a testament to Oyo’s rich traditions and a new dawn for the ancient Yoruba kingdom.

“Oba Abimbola’s enthronement is not just the crowning of our king but a renewal of the cultural heritage that binds our people.

The Alaafin’s wisdom, strength, education, international exposure and network as well as his vision will surely guide Oyo into a prosperous future,” Prince Dawood stated.

As a prominent member of the Agunloye royal lineage, Prince Dahood highlighted the importance of unity and cooperation among all royal houses in preserving the cultural legacy of Oyo.

“The throne of the Alaafin symbolizes strength and continuity for the Yoruba people. I stand in full support of His Majesty and pledge my loyalty and support as we collectively work towards progress and harmony,” he affirmed.

While commending governor Seyi Makinde and his government for their proactive and pragmatic approach to governance which according to him has deepened transparency and inclusivity, Prince Dahood, who was among the leading aspirants before the emergence of the monarch, declared his full support.

He equally appealed to other princess who are pursuing litigation in court to seek redress to embrace the new Alaafin as the will of God who has been favored by God to mount the throne of his forebears.

Furthermore, the enthronement of Oba Abimbola is expected to usher in an era of cultural revitalization, economic development, and strengthened community ties.

Meanwhile, the respected Oyo prince not only paid homage to the newly crowned monarch but also showered praise on Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, for his commitment to tradition and leadership in steering the historic transition

“The ascension of the new Alaafin is not just the rise of a king but the continuation of a legacy that binds us all. I am proud to see the torch of our ancestors passed down to a worthy successor,” He added.

Prince Dahood also lauded Governor Makinde for ensuring a smooth and respectful process in selecting the new monarch.

“Governor Makinde has once again proven himself to be a man of the people, a leader who respects our traditions and values. His role in upholding due process has preserved the dignity of this sacred institution,” Prince Dahood concluded.
