The Aare Musulumi of Yoruba Land, Edo and Delta, His Eminence Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, has felicitated the deputy governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdulroheem Adebayo Lawal, on the occasion of his 71st birthday anniversary celebration.

In a statement released by the Secretary of Aare Musulumi In-Council, Alhaji Salaam Azeez, in Ibadan on Monday, April 14, Aare Makanjuola, who doubles as the Aare of Ibadanland, described the Deputy Governor as a “seasoned administrator, an embodiment of humility, a pious Muslim, and a cherished brother.”

He praised the Deputy Governor’s commitment to public service and his unparalleled dedication to the development and progress of Oyo State.

In his words: “As you celebrate another year of impactful life, I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) continues to bless you with sound health, divine wisdom, and renewed strength in your astute service to the good people of Oyo State and the nation at large.”

The religious leader also used the occasion to call on residents of Oyo State to continue supporting the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde and his Deputy while lauding their purposeful leadership and commitment to the welfare of the people.

Highlighting the Deputy Governor’s strong ties to the Muslim community, Alhaji Makanjuola commended Barr. Lawal for his steadfast support of Islam and the Ummah in Oyo State and beyond.

“On behalf of all the Muslim Ummah in Oyo State, we appreciate and commend the Deputy Governor for the unblemished love and dedication he has shown towards the cause of Muslims,” the statement read.

He prayed for continued blessings and excellence in the Deputy Governor’s life, family, and service to the state.
