The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially announced that it will hold a crucial meeting of its National Executive Committee (NEC) on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at its National Secretariat, Abuja.

The ruling party’s National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, made this known in a public notice obtained by westernmirror.com.ng on Thursday night of July 3.

According to the party, the meeting is being convened in line with Article 12.3 of the APC Constitution and pursuant to Article 11 A(iii), which recognizes the NEC as one of the party’s principal organs.

The meeting is expected to deliberate on key national and party issues, assess the party’s internal structure and ongoing strategies ahead of the 2027 general elections, and review resolutions from previous party organs.

“All eligible NEC members are hereby invited and enjoined to attend this important meeting punctually,” the notice stated.

The National Working Committee (NWC) has also stressed the importance of full participation, given the strategic significance of the discussions expected to take place.

This online newspaper reports that this will be the party’s first major NEC meeting in the second half of 2025, amid increasing political realignments and expectations regarding APC’s leadership direction moving forward.
