The Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists, NACJ, Oyo State Chapter, has extended heartfelt wishes to Christians across the state and beyond as they celebrate the joyous Easter season.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Association, Adeola Badru, on behalf of the Chairman, Lekan Shobowale, stated that Easter represents a time of spiritual renewal, hope revival, and sober reflection for Christians worldwide.
The statement said: “During this sacred period, we are reminded of the profound love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who overcame death and brought salvation to humanity. It is a time to celebrate our faith and the promise of eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
NACJ therefore, encouraged all Christians to embrace the spirit of Easter by sharing love and kindness with one another, fostering unity and peace within their communities.
“Let us take this opportunity to reach out to those in need, promote goodwill, and strengthen our bonds as a community of believers,” the statement added.
The association, however, also called on Christians to reflect on the essence of Easter amidst the challenges facing the nation.
“As we celebrate, let us not forget the importance of standing together in prayer for our country, seeking divine intervention for peace and stability in our land.”
“We wish everyone a blessed and joyous Easter filled with love, hope, and the assurance of God’s grace. May this season inspire us all to live out our faith actively and courageously,” NACJ concluded.
