Oyo Prince, Olaide Dahood Oladimeji of Agunloye royal family at Isale Oja in Oyo town has expressed felicitations to the Muslim community in the ancient kingdom on the occasion of 2024 Eid el Mawlid celebration.
The prince in his felicitation message obtained by westernmirror.com.ng on Monday September 16, equally used the occasion to advocate for unity and peaceful coexistence among the diverse religious communities in Oyo.
According to the royal Prince, Eid el Mawlid which is the celebration commemorating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, is a significant event for Muslims community worldwide.
The Prince emphasized the importance of solidarity and mutual respect in deepening a harmonious society and called on the people of Oyo to continue to represent the culture and tradition of their ancestors.
“On this auspicious occasion of Eid el Mawlid, I extend my sincere felicitation to all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Oyo and the state at large.
“This is a time for celebration and reflection, and I urge everyone to embrace the spirit of peace and cooperation that defines this sacred holiday.
“Our diversity is our strength, and by coming together with respect and empathy, we can overcome any challenges and build a better future for all while maintaining a peaceful and harmonious interfaith coexistence.” Prince Oladimeji said.
