The Olubadan designate, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, on Monday, arrived in Ibadan to commence his coronation rites.

The former Oyo State governor arrived at his family house in Isale-Osi, Ibadan South-West Local Government Area, at about 1:20 p.m., where he was warmly received by family members, associates, and well-wishers.

As part of the welcome, special interfaith prayers were offered in both Islamic and Christian traditions to seek divine blessings for his reign.

Following the prayers, Oba Ladoja is expected to proceed to his Bodija residence later in the day as preparations for his coronation intensify.

Meanwhile, westernmirror.com.ng reports that governor Seyi Makinde has yet to officially receive Ladoja’s nomination as required by the ascension process.

It is however, expected that his return to the ancient city will culminate into other traditional and official government consultation that will ultimately climax into the coronation rites.
