The Olubadan of Ibadan, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, has officially installed the Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamorudeen Aderibigbe, as the Baale of Lakoto, Osajin, Masoke, and Believers Quarters.
The installation held on Monday, December 9 at the Olubadan Palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan.
Aderibigbe, who also serves as the De-Facto Secretary-General of the Aare Musulumi-In-Council, was lauded for his outstanding character and dedication to his community.
Known for his impeccable leadership in the Oyo State Civil Service and his deep-rooted Islamic values, Aderibigbe’s appointment as a Baale was described by the Olubadan as a recognition of his exceptional contributions both to governance and his local community.
The Olubadan, during the installation, also described Aderibigbe as the epitome of the Yoruba ‘Omoluabi’ ethos; embodying integrity, wisdom, humility, and service to others.
The paramount ruler praised the new Baale for being a worthy Muslim, a mentor to many, and a distinguished administrator who has earned the respect and admiration of both his peers and the people of Ibadan.
Aderibigbe, in his acceptance speech, thanked the Olubadan for the honor and pledged to serve the people of Lakoto, Osajin, Masoke, and Believers Quarters with humility and dedication.
He emphasized the importance of unity, peace, and the continued growth of the community, which he described as the bedrock of a prosperous Ibadan.
Aderibigbe reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the values of the Yoruba people, stressing that his leadership would be centered on collaboration, justice, and deepening sense of belonging for all.
The installation ceremony was well attended by a host of dignitaries, including high-ranking officials from the Oyo State government, local chiefs, traditional rulers, and members of the Islamic community.
Present at the event were the wife of the state deputy governor, state Head of Service, Commissioners, Chief Bayo Oyero, leadership of CCII, Board and Corporation chairmen chief Mrs. Mutiat Ladoja represented, Architect (Alhaji) Salam Azeez, Alhaji Rasheed Abdulazeez, Alhaji Daud Afolabi, among others.
