Comrade Oluwaseun Ololade Arelu, the Personal Assistant to the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has emerged as the new Alumni President of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa.
Comrade Arelu confirmed his keenly contested electoral victory to this online newspaper on Saturday afternoon (today).
The announcement of Arelu’s victory was greeted with widespread celebration among alumni and students, indicative of the confidence reposed in Arelu’s leadership capabilities and his passion for the institution’s development.
In his congratulatory message, the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, who also spoke with westernmirror.com.ng lauded Comrade Oluwaseun for his dedication, describing his election as well-deserved.
“Your emergence as the leader of this noble association is a testament to your dedication, commitment, and unwavering passion for the growth and development of your alma mater.
“It is evident that your visionary leadership will further promote unity among alumni and drive initiatives that will positively impact both the association and the institution,” the Speaker stated.
Comrade Arelu equally expressed gratitude to the alumni in his acceptance speech for their trust, and pledged to work tirelessly to strengthen the association’s impact.
“I am deeply honored to be elected to serve as the Alumni President of our great institution. Together, we will work towards unity, innovation, and meaningful contributions to the development of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic,” Comrade Arelu said.
Westernmirror.com.ng reports that the newly elected president has however, outlined plans to deepen collaboration among alumni, establish robust support systems for current students, and pursue infrastructural development projects in partnership with stakeholders.
