The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has expressed his condolences over the passing of Alhaja Limotalai Arapaja, the beloved mother of Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, Deputy National Chairman, South of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The 95-year-old matriarch breathed her last on Wednesday, 26th July 2024, and will be laid to rest at her residence in Ibadan, according to Islamic rites.
Hon. Ogundoyin in a condolence message said his heart goes out to Amb. Arapaja and his family during this period of mourning the passing of their beloved mother describing the feeling as an ‘unbearable loss.’
He urged them to find strength in their faith, the legacy she left behind in the successful children that succeeded her and the fond memories they shared with their late mother.
“The pain of losing a parent is indescribable, and I can only imagine the grief you must be feeling. Please know that you’re not alone in this dark hour. May Allah’s love and comfort envelop you, and may your mother’s legacy continue to inspire you.
“Alhaja Limotalai Arapaja’s passing leaves a gap in the lives of all who knew her. Her wisdom, kindness, and unwavering support will be deeply missed. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to her family and all those whose lives she touched.
“As you navigate this difficult time, remember that your mother will always be with you in spirit, guiding and watching over you. Take solace in the words of the Quran that says ‘We come from Allah and to Him is our final return’ (2:156). May this bring you comfort and peace.” Ogundoyin said.
