The Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Oyo State, Comrade Bosun Olabiyi-Agoro, has announced the funeral arrangements for his late father, Pa Samuel Oluwole Olabiyi-Agoro, a highly respected elder and family patriarch.
According to a statement released by the labor leader, Pa Olabiyi-Agoro popularly known as ‘semi n bio’, who passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 79, will be laid to rest on Friday, January 17, 2025.
The burial ceremony will take place in Ibadan, Oyo State, with activities planned to honor his contributions to his family, community, and Christian faith.
Funeral Schedule:
The program will commence with a wake-keeping service on Thursday, January 16, at the deceased private residence at No 10, Olabiyi-Agoro Street, Jaleoyemi, Muslim, Ibadan by 4pm.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17 at Christ Church Mapo, Ibadan, at 9am, followed by interment at the church burial ground at Ayegun, Olomi, Ibadan. A reception will follow by 2pm at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Ibadan.
According to the TUC Chairman, Pa Olabiyi-Agoro was a devoted Christian, an accomplished man, and a community leader who dedicated his life to uplifting those around him.
The labor leader described his father as “a pillar of strength, wisdom, and compassion,” while expressed gratitude for the support his family has received since his father’s passing and invited the labor community in Oyo state, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers to join them in celebrating the life of the late patriarch.
