The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has hailed Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership prowess, attributing the peaceful and successful conduct of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South West Zonal Congress in Ibadan to the governor’s unifying influence.

The congress, which took place at the Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan yesterday, drew delegates and leaders from all six South West states, and was characterized by organizational harmony and unity.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin praised the atmosphere of maturity and cooperation that defined the congress, describing it as a clear reflection of Governor Makinde’s political sagacity and visionary leadership.

“I must commend His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for accepting to host this congress and for his ever-consistent role in unifying the party across the South West.

“His leadership acumen, strategic foresight, and dedication to the PDP’s progress are truly commendable,” Ogundoyin said.

The Speaker expressed confidence in Governor Makinde’s capacity to take on greater leadership responsibilities in the future, highlighting the congress as further proof of his capability to steer complex political processes to success.

He also congratulated Alhaji Kamorudeen Ajisafe on his emergence as the South West Zonal Chairman of the PDP, describing the unopposed outcome as an endorsement of his credibility and acceptance among party stakeholders.

Also, Ogundoyin expressed his good wishes to all newly elected zonal executives, emphasizing that their emergence signals a renewed chapter for the PDP in the zone.

He reaffirmed his personal commitment to supporting the PDP’s ongoing mission to rebuild and strengthen its structures in the South West ahead of upcoming electoral contests in 2027.
