The Nigeria church have gained reputation in all sphere of Influence except for politics hence, the slogan politics is a dirty game and Christian should stay away from it.
The fundamental teachings of Jesus is directed towards all kinds of people which includes Noble, slaves, political figures like Ceaser, religious leaders like the Pharisees, Sadducees etc so the gospel of Christ Jesus is encompasses.
The Nigerian church avoid politics and sanctions their members who participate in politics but they like good governance which can only be a proceed of righteous leader.
The current CAN Chairman of Oyostate, Apostle Dr. Joshua Sola Akinyemiju, remains a good template of true leadership in our society in that his understanding of Christianity is beyond religious affirmations, but transit into a necessity for a righteous civilization.

It is however, expedient and imperative at this juncture to strongly commend the Federal House of Representatives for being very sensitive and standing such bill down due to the dangers it portends and the divisive tendencies, if passed, such bill would cause Nigeria as a nation and Nigerians as a people.
This proposed bill serves as a hard lesson for all Nigerian Christian leaders about the complex interplay of religion, politics, and social cohesion in a diverse nation.

Nigeria remains a secular state according to the constitution and to extend ‘sharia law’ from personal as it concern each State, to general law for the federation is selfishness also an attempt to undermine every other religious belief.
The effontry to promote a religious belief over the other, is a prove that Christians are tacitly presenting themselves as minority since they won’t mobilize to vote during general elections or join politics yet would cry and whine about bad leadership in the country.
The Nigerian church must have their eyes open and they must adjust their priorities to suit the concept of Christianity that can be practiced in this modern age and time which includes re-training their congregations and urgent discipleship on politics and governance.
