The Spiritual leader, Satguru Maharaj Ji has issued a stern warning to foreign governments and institutions, particularly those in the West, urging them to refrain from interfering in Nigeria’s domestic affairs.

His statement made available to the press on Monday, May 12, comes in the wake of recent calls by the Institute of Law Research and Development (ILAWDUN) urging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reverse the invocation of Emergency Rule in Rivers State.

Speaking ahead of what he described as “the second half of the first 4 years” of President Tinubu’s 8-year tenure, Maharaj Ji declared that “no foreign authority has the liberty to interfere in Nigeria’s political and other domestic affairs. Such nation would sink,” he warned.

He specifically called out ILAWDUN, which he referred to as “the Nigerian mouthpiece” of the United States, labeling its criticism of the Emergency Rule in Rivers State as “an insult” and “an unwelcome interference.”

“The political crisis in Rivers State is basically an offshoot of Nigerians’ political learning process,” Maharaj Ji stated. “No foreign organization or personality has authority over this process.”

President Tinubu had declared a state of emergency in Rivers State amid escalating political tension. While the move drew support from some quarters, legal scholars and civil society groups, led by ILAWDUN, have called it unconstitutional and excessive.

However, Maharaj Ji insisted that the decision lies solely with the president as Nigeria’s highest political authority and is to be reviewed after six months.

“America has no history of serving Nigeria’s stabilization and prosperity needs,” Maharaj Ji said, decrying what he described as a history of “hypocritical Western interventions that serve the selfish agenda of the global European power-establishment.”

He continued, “The era of global US dictatorship under the guise of either humanitarianism or the ‘demon is crazy’—democracy, has expired. Peoples and nations across the world are waking up to their natural and sovereign right to self-determination.”

Addressing Professor Cyprian Edward-Ekpo of ILAWDUN, Maharaj Ji stated, “He knows well enough that Nigeria is not a constituent state of the United States of America.”

In a particularly pointed moment, Maharaj Ji referenced former US President Bill Clinton, claiming that Clinton acknowledged the existence of “Superior Forces” in a 1991 inaugural address, a claim not supported by historical records. Nonetheless, he insisted that Nigeria is a “special project” under divine protection.

“As the Head of the said Superior Forces,” Maharaj Ji declared, “I call on ILAWDUN to publish a retraction. I also advise the US Government to desist from further interfering in Nigeria’s domestic affairs, to avoid incurring avoidable karmic backlash.”

He added that his statement with an appeal to President Tinubu to “pull down all barriers” and “create more industries big and small” to lead Nigeria into what he described as “the new Golden Age of Life.”
