In warm tribute commemorating the 57th birthday anniversary of Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the Special Assistant on Interfaith Affairs, Reverend Femi Ibikunle, has showered praises on the governor for his impactful and exemplary leadership in the state.
A congratulatory message forwarded to this online newspaper to felicitates the governor described Makinde as a “hero, leader, mentor, and benefactor,” whose transformative vision has left an indelible mark not only in his personal life but on Oyo State at large.
“Your Excellency, your life epitomizes service, compassion, and an unyielding resolve to uplift humanity. You have set a standard of leadership that inspires not only those within Oyo State but across Nigeria,” Rev Ibikunle said.
Highlighting Governor Makinde’s strides in governance, Rev Ibikunle stressed the governor’s dedication to inclusivity, evident in his policies promoting religious harmony and unity across the state.
“You have shown that leadership transcends boundaries of faith and ethnicity. Under your watch, Oyo State has become an epicenter of peaceful coexistence, a testament to your interfaith commitment,” Rev Ibikunle added.
The governor’s aide emphasized that the unprecedented impact of the Makinde led government will remain indelible in the anals of history noting that generations yet unborn will remember him alongside greats such as Late Pa Obafemi Awolowo, Samuel Ladoke Akintola, and Chief Bola Ige.
He however, prayed for more wisdom and depth of understanding of the intricacies of leadership and governance while expressing optimism that Nigeria has a lot to gain from governor Makinde’s human and material resource management skills.
