Ahead of the 2027 general elections, members of the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), Challenge Branch, have held a special prayer session for the electoral success of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) candidate for the Oluyole Federal Constituency, Engineer Akeem Olatunji.
The prayer session was held at the NASFAT Challenge Branch Mosque, Ibadan, as part of Olatunji’s engagements with different segments of the Oluyole community ahead of the election.
Olatunji, who described himself as a foundation member of the NASFAT Islamic Society and the Babasale Musulumi of Oluyole Local Government, said the visit was an opportunity to seek divine guidance and blessings for his aspiration to represent the people of Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
According to him, the gathering brought together spiritual leaders, Alfas, Ulamahs and members of the congregation to pray for the success of his aspiration and for the continued peace and development of Oluyole.
He said: “As part of our various engagements with different segments of the society, we were at NASFAT Challenge Branch Mosque as a foundation member of NASFAT Islamic Society and Babasale Musulumi of Oluyole Local Government to connect with the Creator of the Universe and the Omnipotent, Allah, through prayers under the guidance of our spiritual leaders and Alfas.”
Olatunji said the prayers and endorsement from the Ulamahs and congregation had provided further encouragement for his bid to represent the constituency under the APM platform.
“To the glory of Almighty Allah, my aspiration and ambition to represent the good people of Oluyole Federal Constituency under the platform of APM received a boost with the endorsement of the Ulamahs and the congregation,” he stated.
The APM candidate said his political aspiration was anchored on the belief that leadership should be guided by the fear of God, compassion and a commitment to improving the lives of the people.
He stressed that his ambition was not merely about occupying a political office but about using the opportunity to serve the people and advance their interests.
“Leadership entails the fear of God and unconditional love for humanity. My interest is to serve the good people of Oluyole Federal Constituency with the fear of God and ensure that my people benefit abundantly,” Olatunji said.
He expressed appreciation to the spiritual leaders and members of the NASFAT congregation for their prayers and support, while reiterating his commitment to engaging communities across Oluyole Federal Constituency as part of his campaign activities.
Olatunji is seeking election to the House of Representatives on the platform of the APM in the 2027 general elections, with his campaign expected to continue with engagements across the constituency.
