As tributes continue to pour, former House of Representatives aspirant in Oyo state, Hon. Folashade Alao popularly known as ‘Iya Ido’, has join others to felicitate former governor and the Otun Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on the occasion of his 80th birthday anniversary celebration.

The female politician from Ido local government eulogized Oba Ladoja in a congratulatory statement on Wednesday, September 25.

Recall that Hon. Alao aspired for the 2023 House of Representatives ticket on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) but was unlucky to clinch the slot.

Hon. Alao described Oba Ladoja as an accomplished businessman, politician and and member of the Olubadan in-Council whose contributions to the development of the state remains indelible.

She equally described Oba Ladoja as a pathfinder for young and old politicians needing pathway to advancing their political careers not only in Oyo state but Nigeria as a whole.

Iya-Ido as she is fondly called celebrated Ladoja’s enduring legacy of leadership, emphasizing his dedication to the cultural and social advancement of Oyo State.

“Oba Ladoja’s vision for a prosperous Oyo is evident in his unwavering commitment to community development and his advocacy for peace and unity among diverse interest.

“His fighting spirit against injustice and for an egalitarian society was even more evident when he was the executive governor of Oyo state and the way he sacrificed everything he has in support of the masses commonwealth.

“Baba is worthy of emulation by all sons and daughters of Ibadan and we can only pray that God grant him good health and long life so that we continue to draw from his wealth of experience and wisdom.

“On behalf of myself and my family, I want to join others within and outside Nigeria to wish Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja a happy birthday anniversary celebration filled with joy, happiness and more accomplishments in life.” Hon. Alao said.
