The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Honorable Adebo Ogundoyin, earlier in the week played host to three prominent delegations signaling a critical step towards deepening partnerships and collaboration with key government Ministries, Department, and Agencies (MDAs) as well as private sector stakeholders at both state and federal levels.

The courtesy visits according to the Speaker, offered an opportunity for fruitful discussions on mutual interests and collaboration opportunities.

This was disclosed on Thursday, January 23, on the official Facebook page of Ogundoyin, who doubles as the Chairman, Nigeria Conference of Speakers of all the 36 State Legislatures.

The first delegation was led by Dr. Olukemi Afolayan, Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Oyo State.

The two term speaker revealed that discussions focused on promoting national values and identifying projects that would benefit the people of Oyo State.

The Speaker also received in courtesy, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Oluyole and District Society, headed by its Chairman, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Nwadike, FCA, who was accompanied by the Accountant General of the State, Mrs. Kikelomo Adegoke, FCA.

Ogundoyin noted that the meeting explored potential partnerships to enhance financial transparency and accountability as key drivers of sustainable development in the state and assured that the state legislature would collaborate with the accounting institute for a more robust relationship that would reflect on the performance of the House.

Ogundoyin also hosted the Junior Chambers International (JCI) Southwest. Their discussions focused on youth empowerment and leadership development, which he said aligned with the state’s vision for nurturing the next generation of leaders.

Speaking with Westernmirror.com.ng on Thursday over the meetings, the Speaker expressed gratitude for the insightful engagements and emphasized the importance of collaboration in driving growth.

“These discussions have opened pathways for strategic partnerships that will benefit Oyo State. I look forward to implementing ideas that will make a positive impact on our people,” Ogundoyin stated.
