The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, today led a delegation of the 10th Assembly on a condolence visit to Governor Seyi Makinde his private residence following the passing of the Governor’s elder brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde.
Ogundoyin, who disclosed this on his official Facebook page indicated that the visit was marked by solemnity and empathy as the lawmakers expressed their sympathies to the Governor and his family.
According to the Facebook post, Ogundoyin conveyed the Assembly’s collective condolences to the governor and highlighted the late Engr. Sunday Makinde’s enduring legacy.
“Today, we have come to stand with our Governor in this moment of grief. The loss of a loved one, especially a sibling, is deeply painful, and we share in your sorrow.
“May the soul of Engr. Sunday Makinde rest in perfect peace, and may God grant the Makinde family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” Ogundoyin’s post read.
