The Chief Imam of Ikolaba Central Mosque, Alhaji Tirimisiyu Akewusola Badmus, is dead.

The respected islamic leader passed away in the early hours of this morning, Thursday, April 8, after a brief illness.

The Secretary General of the Aare Musulumi In-Council, Alhaji Salaam Azeem, confirmed the sad news to westernmirror.com.ng when contacted.

Alhaji Badmus was a spiritual leader known for his unwavering dedication to faith, wisdom in guidance, and decades of service to the Muslim ummah in Ibadan and beyond.

“Yes it’s true, we just lost a great man. We are deeply saddened by the loss, but we submit to the will of Allah. May Allah SWT accept his return, forgive his shortcomings, and grant him the highest ranks in Aljannah Firdaus,” Alhaji Azeez said.

He added that Janazah (funeral prayer) arrangements will be announced in due course as preparations are made to honor the late Imam in accordance with Islamic rites.
