The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has expressed warm felicitations to Muslims in Ibarapa geopolitical zone, Oyo state and Nigeria, as they celebrate the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir festival.

In his Salah goodwill message conveyed through his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Alhaji Oyetunji Oyekunle, the Speaker sued for peace and unity as recipes for state national progress.

He noted that Eid-el-Kabir, one of Islam’s most significant celebrations, should serve as a reminder of the virtues of faith, obedience, and sacrifice.

Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin called on Nigerians to emulate the exemplary submission to the will of Allah demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his son, Prophet Ismail (AS), by promoting harmony, understanding, and communal spirit in their daily lives.

“At a time when our nation yearns for unity and healing, this sacred celebration offers us an opportunity to reflect, reconnect with one another, and renew our collective hope,” the Speaker said.

He also extended his wishes to members and staff of the Oyo State House of Assembly, and prayed that the occasion would usher in a season of peace, prosperity, and collective growth.

According to the lawmaker’s message to the people of Oyo State, Ogundoyin wished them a joyful and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration and prayed for sustained development and harmony in the state.

“As we celebrate, let us remember the essence of this season, sacrifice, piety, and compassion.

May Almighty Allah accept our prayers and sacrifices and grant us lasting peace and blessings,” he added.

The Speaker expressed optimism that the festival would bring renewed joy and spiritual upliftment to all Nigerian Muslims and further strengthen bonds across the country.
