The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has congratulated Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, as he marked his 58th birthday on Christmas Day.

Ogundoyin described the Governor as a leader whose life and service have become a source of reassurance to many Nigerians, noting that his birthday coinciding with Christmas carries a deeper meaning of renewal, sacrifice and hope.

In a congratulatory message released on Thursday, the Speaker said Makinde’s leadership has continued to stand out for its strong focus on people, performance and long-term development.

“On behalf of the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly and the good people of Ibarapa East, I join millions of Nigerians to celebrate a transformational leader and a trailblazer who has redefined good governance in Oyo State.

“Your birthday, which coincides with Christmas, is symbolic, because your life and service continue to be a blessing to many,” Ogundoyin said.

He noted that at 58, the Governor remains a visible symbol of hope, humility and results-driven leadership, adding that his administration’s investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, workers’ welfare and youth empowerment have strengthened public trust in government.

According to the Speaker, Makinde’s approach to governance has also deepened cooperation between the Executive and Legislative arms of government in the state, fostering transparency, respect and shared responsibility.

“We are proud to work with a Governor whose vision aligns with the aspirations of the people,” Ogundoyin stated, describing the existing synergy as critical to the steady progress recorded across the state.

The Speaker prayed for continued divine guidance, good health and renewed strength for the Governor as he leads Oyo State into another year of development and stability.
