The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, has commended the large-scale agricultural investment of Oladipupo Adebutu, describing it as a significant contribution to food production, job creation and economic growth.

Ogundoyin gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to Solomon Kesington Agro Allied Limited, a multi-billion-naira farm owned by Adebutu and located in Iperu Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State.

In a statement made available to journalists on Saturday, the Speaker said the scale of investment in the agribusiness reflects a forward-looking approach capable of addressing the country’s food security challenges.

“I am sincerely amazed at this quantum of investment in agricultural drive. It only shows that someone is thinking in the right direction and doing what should be done to boost food production, create wealth and tackle poverty,” Ogundoyin said.

He noted that Adebutu’s investment has helped create employment opportunities for hundreds of people while also producing raw materials for industrial use.

“Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, with this highly inspiring investment, is no doubt taking a giant step to boost the economy not only in Ogun State but across the country.

“This is surely the way to go to develop our country and cut down unemployment, hunger and poverty. Our prayer is that this establishment will continue to wax stronger year in, year out,” he added.

Ogundoyin also commended the environmental friendliness of the farm and the dedication of its workforce, urging the employees to remain committed to sustaining the facility’s growth and productivity.

During the visit, Adebutu conducted the Speaker and his entourage on a tour of the facility, including the processing plant, pig pens housing over 30,000 pigs, a ranch with cow barns accommodating more than 3,000 cattle, as well as other livestock sections within the farm.

Members of the delegation praised Adebutu’s commitment to maintaining the farm at international standards and sustaining its operations.

Others in the Speaker’s entourage included Prof. Abraham Osinubi and Dr. Aliu Soyingbe, Dean and Sub-Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies at the University of Lagos, respectively.
