The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, has congratulated Ace radio broadcaster and media personality, Isaac Brown, on his emergence as a recipient of the 2026 City People Awards for Excellence Special Recognition Award.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists on Monday, Olatunji described the honour as a fitting recognition of Brown’s years of professionalism, dedication and immense contributions to the growth of the Nigerian media industry.
According to the council chairman, the award is a testament to Isaac Brown’s consistency, credibility and commitment to ethical journalism, qualities that have earned him the admiration of audiences, colleagues and stakeholders across the country.
“Your recognition is a well-deserved honour. Over the years, you have distinguished yourself as a courageous, objective and highly respected broadcaster whose work has continued to inspire many within and outside the media profession,” Olatunji stated.
He noted that Brown has built an enduring legacy through his passion for informing, educating and enlightening the public, while maintaining high professional standards that have contributed significantly to strengthening democratic values and public discourse.
Olatunji further noted that the City People Awards for Excellence Special Recognition Award reflects what he called the impact of Brown’s “remarkable career” and his invaluable service to society through responsible journalism.
He expressed confidence that the recognition would further inspire the award-winning broadcaster to continue raising the bar of excellence in the media profession.
The Oluyole council boss also commended the organisers of the 2026 Awards for identifying and celebrating individuals whose contributions have positively shaped their respective professions and the nation at large.
