Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of the immediate past Chairman of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Pastor Akin Alamu, as a member of the Oyo State Elders’ Council.
The governor also approved the appointment of several new aides and officials as part of his administration’s latest appointments.
The appointments were contained in letters signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Ph.D., and announced in a statement issued on Friday by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
Among those appointed is Mr Elijah Kolawole Akanmu, who was named Special Adviser on Housing and also appointed a Board Member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation.
Mr Sakariya Mohammed Taofik was appointed Special Adviser on Rural Development.
Others appointed are Mr Yinka Oladoyinbo, Executive Assistant on Information and Orientation; Ms Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa, Senior Special Assistant on Information and Orientation; and Mr Dapo Falade, Senior Special Assistant on Information and Orientation.
The governor also appointed Hon. Seun Adelore as Senior Special Assistant on Chieftaincy Matters, while the former Chairman of the Oyo State Sports Council, Hon. Gbenga Adewusi, was named Executive Assistant to the Sports Commission.
Mr Ogundele Quadri was appointed Special Assistant on Urban Development, while Elder Olawale Olugbenga, JP, was named Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism.
Mr Ibrahim Abayomi was also appointed Executive Assistant on Works.
Governor Makinde charged the newly appointed officials to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, commitment and loyalty to the people and government of Oyo State.
According to the statement, all the appointments took immediate effect.
