Former Commissioner of Police and Executive Assistant to the Oyo State Governor on Security Matters, Mr. Sunday Odukoya, has felicitated the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Professor Dawud Sangodoyin, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.

Odukoya, in a congratulatory message on Tuesday, August 18, described Sangodoyin as a committed public servant whose contributions to the development of Oyo State, particularly in the areas of infrastructure and energy, have remained remarkable.

He recalled Sangodoyin’s tenure as Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, noting that his stewardship was characterised by dedication, professionalism and a strong commitment to the development agenda of Governor Seyi Makinde.

The former police commissioner commended the celebrant for bringing the same zeal and sense of clear direction and responsibility to his current portfolio as Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources.

According to him, Sangodoyins career in public service reflects a rare combination of competence, humility and commitment to duty regardless of official portfolio.

Odukoya prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, good health and strength for the commissioner, wishing him many more years of impactful service to Oyo State and humanity.

He said: “On this special occasion of your birthday, I celebrate not only the man you are, but also your contributions to the progress and development of our dear pacesetter state.

“Your commitment to public service, demonstrated during your tenure as Commissioner for Works and now as Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, is indeed worthy of commendation and emulation.

“I pray that Almighty God will continue to grant you wisdom, sound health and renewed strength to serve the people and contribute more meaningfully to the development of Oyo State.

“May your new year be filled with greater accomplishments, peace and fulfilment, Happy birthday, my dear brother and good friend.”

Odukoya further urged the celebrant to remain steadfast in his service to the state, expressing confidence that his experience and expertise would continue to be valuable to the administration and people of Oyo State.
