The Ibadan House of Lords has expressed Eid-el-Kabir felicitations to the Olúbàdàn of Ìbàdànland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, members of the Olúbàdàn In Council, the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Mogajis, traditional rulers and residents across Ibadanland.

The felicitation message was contained in a statement by President of the Ibadan House of Lords, Lord Agbaakin Sunday Odekeye, and made available to journalists by the Public Relations Officer of the association, Lord Lanre Latinwo.

Odekeye, in the statement, congratulated the Olúbàdàn and the entire people of Ibadanland on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, praying for sustained peace, unity and prosperity in the ancient city.

He also felicitated the Iyalode of Ìbàdànland, members of the Iyalode In Council, the Association of Mogajis of Ìbàdànland, all royal fathers in Ibadanland, Balees and the Muslim faithful celebrating the festival.

According to him, Eid-el-Kabir remains a significant period that teaches the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, love and peaceful coexistence among people of different religious and cultural backgrounds.

The Ibadan House of Lords president urged residents to continue to live in harmony and support efforts targeted at promoting the growth and development of Ibadanland.

He further called on Muslim faithful to imbibe the lessons of the festival by extending love and kindness to the less privileged and deepening the culture of unity within their various communities and neighborhoods.

The statement wished the Olúbàdàn, traditional institutions, community leaders and all residents of Ibadanland a peaceful and joyous Salah celebration.
