The Director-General of Oyo State Investment and Public-Private Partnership Agency (OYSIPA), Mr. Tilewa Folami, has expressed felicitations to Muslim faithful across Oyo State and Nigeria on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
This was as he charged them to continue upholding the enduring values of sacrifice, obedience, peace, unity and love associated with the sacred festival.
Folami gave the charge in a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday, where he described Eid-el-Kabir as a period of deep spiritual reflection, devotion to Almighty Allah and total submission to God’s will, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim.
He congratulated Muslims for witnessing another celebration of the Islamic festival, urging them to imbibe the virtues of tolerance, compassion, generosity and harmonious coexistence in their daily interactions.
According to him, “Eid-el-Kabir is not just a celebration, but a solemn reminder of the importance of faith, sacrifice, obedience and selflessness. These are virtues that should guide our conduct as individuals and as a society.”
The OYSIPA Director-General stressed that the lessons of the season should transcend the festivities and remain a continuous way of life capable of fostering peace and strengthening unity within communities.
“I urge all Muslim faithful to continue demonstrating love, kindness and compassion to one another, irrespective of religious, ethnic or political differences.
“We must continue to promote peaceful coexistence and support one another for the progress of our dear state and nation,” he said.
Folami also used the opportunity to commend the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde for what he described as robust and visionary leadership and deliberate economic reforms that have continued to position Oyo State as a preferred destination for investors.
He noted that the governor’s investment-friendly policies, infrastructural development initiatives and commitment to creating a conducive business environment have significantly boosted investors’ confidence in the state.
According to him, “Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration has remained committed to policies and reforms that encourage both local and foreign investments.
The ongoing infrastructural transformation and strategic economic initiatives are gradually placing Oyo State among the leading investment destinations in Nigeria.”
Folami further stated that the administration’s commitment to sustainable economic growth would not only attract more investments but also create employment opportunities and improve the standard of living of residents across the state.
He therefore called on residents of the state to continue supporting the Makinde-led administration in its efforts to strengthen the economy and deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.
The OYSIPA boss also prayed for enduring peace, unity, progress and prosperity in Oyo State and Nigeria, while wishing Muslims a joyful, peaceful and memorable Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
“May this season bring renewed hope, peace, prosperity and greater unity to our nation. I wish all Muslim faithful a happy and fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration,” he added.
