A former member of Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Femi Josiah, has congratulated Elder Olawale Olugbenga, JP, on his appointment as Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Culture and Tourism.
Josiah described the appointment as well deserved, saying Olugbenga is an accomplished man whose wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors would add value to the administration of Governor Makinde.
The appointment was contained in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Oyo State Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi.
In his congratulatory message, Josiah said Olugbenga’s years of service, commitment and contributions to the development of Oyo State and the success of the party had earned him the confidence reposed in him by the governor.
He said the appointment was also a recognition of Olugbenga’s experience, dedication and capacity to contribute meaningfully to the state’s efforts to harness its enormous cultural and tourism potential.
Josiah expressed confidence that the new aide would deploy his wealth of experience and expertise to the new assignment, particularly in promoting Oyo State’s rich cultural heritage and tourism attractions.
“Elder Olugbenga’s appointment is a well deserved one that reflects reward for consistency and dedication to the vision of governor Seyi Makinde.
“Without mincing words, his appointment reflects putting a round peg in a round hole and I’m happy that the government will finally starting to draw directly from his wealth of experience in both public and private sector.
“A lot has been done and a lot still needs to be done in our Tourism sector and I’m convinced without any shred of doubt that Oyo will will begin to witness transformative initiatives from Elder Olugbenga,” Josiah said.
He prayed for wisdom and divine guidance for Olugbenga as he takes on the new responsibility, while urging him to justify the confidence placed in him by the governor and the people of the state.
