A purported list of candidates for the 2027 general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has surfaced.
The purported list has triggered fresh controversies within political circles over the party’s early permutations ahead of the polls.
The list, which is yet to receive official confirmation from party authorities, projects Sharafadeen Alli as the APC’s governorship candidate.
Alli is paired with Mr. Soji Adedeji, brother to the Chairman of Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) formerly Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), who is named as the deputy governorship candidate.
For the senatorial contests, the document lists the following names:
Oyo South: Remi Oseni
Oyo Central: Yunus Akintunde
Oyo North: Hannah Ogunesan
The list also outlines proposed candidates for House of Representatives seats across the state:

Sources familiar with the development indicate that a separate list covering the 32 State House of Assembly constituencies is still being compiled.
Despite the circulation of the document, party stakeholders contacted for comments however, declined to authenticate the list, insisting that no formal ratification of candidates has been made by the state leadership of the APC.
