Members of the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Tuesday showered praises on the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, for his consistent support for youth development, inclusiveness and his role in strengthening the party’s structure in Oyo State and the South West.
The commendations followed a joint courtesy visits to the Speaker by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Hajiya Farida Umar, and the National Youth Leader of the party, both of which were disclosed in separate posts on their official Facebook pages.
Hajiya Umar said she visited the Speaker to acknowledge his unrelenting commitment to youth inclusion and his determined efforts to bolster the presence of the PDP across Oyo State and the wider South West zone.
She described Ogundoyin as a dependable party leader whose actions continue to inspire confidence among stakeholders.
She congratulated the Speaker for his achievements and wished him continued success in his future endeavours.
In a similar vein, the PDP National Youth Leader said his visit was to appreciate Ogundoyin’s steadfast support before and after his emergence as the party’s youth leader.
According to him, the Speaker’s passion for youth empowerment and inclusive leadership has injected renewed energy into the PDP.
He noted that Ogundoyin, who also serves as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of Nigeria, has distinguished himself as a dynamic and forward-looking leader with a strong commitment to the future of young Nigerians.
“The youth are ready. The PDP is ready. The future is ours to build,” the youth leader declared.
Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin has been widely recognised within and outside Oyo State for his youth-friendly policies and active engagement with young people in governance and party affairs.
He added that this has positioned Ogundoyin as a key figure in the PDP’s efforts to galvanise youth participation ahead of future political contests.
