The Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, has praised Governor Seyi Makinde for his commitment to developing Ogbomoso, especially through the ongoing construction of 21 inner roads across the town.
Adedoyin, who represents Ogbomoso South State Constituency, made the commendation during Thursday’s plenary session.
He described the road project as a significant step toward improving accessibility, boosting local trade, and enhancing the overall economy of Ogbomoso.
The lawmaker also applauded the governor’s recent intervention in the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, particularly the decision to increase the monthly subvention to the hospital by ₦35 million and to raise the security guards’ allowance from ₦18,000 to ₦80,000.
The lawmaker recalled that Governor Makinde had earlier met with key stakeholders at the hospital to address their grievances and followed up with a visit to the Soun of Ogbomoso, where he reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to reconstruct the town’s inner roads and improve healthcare infrastructure.
According to Adedoyin, the governor’s leadership continues to stand out across the country, earning him admiration and recognition.
He cited a recent commendation from the Conference of South-West Majority Leaders at their quarterly meeting in Abeokuta, where they lauded Makinde’s “exemplary and people-centered governance.”
Adedoyin described the governor as “a visionary leader dedicated to serving his people,” adding that the ongoing infrastructure projects would not only transform Ogbomoso but also create a more livable and economically vibrant environment for future generations.
He expressed optimism that the inner roads, once completed, would open up more business opportunities and strengthen the town’s growing reputation as a hub of progress under the Makinde administration.
