Engr. Samson Ajayi, Chief Executive Officer of Stargate Construction and a prominent political stakeholder in Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State, has met with the two-term lawmaker representing Lagelu State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Akintunde Olajide, popularly known as AKT, as grassroots mobilisation begins ahead of the 2027 elections.
Ajayi, a member of the ‘Boye Nation’ movement, was formally received by Olajide at his constituency office in Lagelu during a meeting focused on political engagement, grassroots mobilisation and strengthening collaboration ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
The meeting according to Ajayi, is part of the renewed political activities within the local government as political stakeholders and grassroots actors begin preparations for the forthcoming elections.
Ajayi, who recently returned to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) fold in Lagelu, is regarded as an influential grassroots mobiliser whose political activities have continued to attract attention among stakeholders in the local government.
Recall that the executive chairman of the Council, Hon. Kamarudeen Mudashiru alongside other party leaders had earlier welcomed Ajayi back into APM last week.
His engagement with AKT who is running for the third term of office as a state lawmaker, is expected to further strengthen consultations among political actors in the constituency as preparations intensify for the 2027 elections.
The meeting according to Ajayi, also provided an opportunity for both political stakeholders to discuss issues affecting the constituency and the need for sustained grassroots engagement in the build-up to the elections.
Ajayi, through his membership of the Boye Nation movement, has remained active in political mobilisation and community-level engagement, with focus on building a strong grassroots structure capable of connecting political programmes with the people.
This comes at a time when political parties and their various support groups across Oyo State are gradually stepping up mobilisation activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ajayi expressed optimism and confidence that meetings of that nature remain strategic and key to the overall electoral success as political players seek to consolidate their structures, strengthen relationships with community leaders and mobilise support at the grassroots.
“This meeting is about strengthening our grassroots structure, deepening our consultations and building the unity required ahead of the 2027 elections.
“Hon. AKT has been at the forefront of providing effective representation at the legislative arm of government over the years and it is our collective duty to ensure we secure landslide victory for him to continue his good works come 2027.
“We are engaging our people, listening to their concerns and bringing together committed stakeholders who share our vision for effective representation and people-oriented leadership.
“With the right strategy, unity of purpose and sustained grassroots mobilisation, we are confident of achieving landslide victory for all our candidates in Lagelu,” Ajayi said.
