The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has penned a heartfelt message to Prince Sola Ladoja, son of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, as he marks his 40th birthday.
In a warm note shared on his official Facebook page on Sunday, Ogundoyin described Sola Ladoja as more than a friend, calling him a “true brother” whose life reflects humility, hard work, and vision despite his royal background.
“Happy 40th Birthday to my brother and friend, Sola Ladoja.
“Today, I celebrate not just a friend but a true brother, Sola Ladoja, son of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.”
Reflecting on their years of friendship before his foray into politics, Ogundoyin shared a glimpse into their early days of entrepreneurship and growing together.
“Before the demands of public service called, we shared not just dreams, but a piece of land, literally, where we planted exotic vegetables and built something from the soil up,” he recalled.
“Those humble beginnings remain a reminder of your drive, humility, and passion for growth,” Ogundoyin revealed.
He praised Prince Ladoja for maintaining a grounded and purposeful life despite his royal roots, adding that his story continues to inspire those around him.
“Sola, your journey so far has been inspiring–grounded in royalty but defined by hard work, vision, and loyalty,” he wrote.
Ogundoyin however, prayed for greater grace, wisdom, and fulfillment for the celebrant, writing, “As you celebrate 40 today, I wish you more grace, wisdom, and fulfillment in all you do. To more life, more impact, and more harvests, on every field you plant. Cheers, my brother.”
