The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially released the timetable and schedule of activities for its 2025 party congresses across select states in the country.
According to the document signed by the National Organizing Secretary, Hon. Umar M. Bature, the congresses will be conducted in the following states: Adamawa, Borno, Edo, Kebbi, Kwara, Ondo, Oyo, Kogi, Lagos, Niger, Plateau, and Cross River.
The timetable marks a major phase in the PDP’s ongoing internal restructuring and reorganization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
It is expected to guide party members and aspirants on the schedule of events from ward to state-level congresses in the listed states.
Also, the party announced the commencement of a nationwide membership drive starting today, while encouraging Nigerians from all walks of life to register and participate in the PDP’s democratic processes.
“This exercise reflects our commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive party structure across the federation,” Bature stated.
Further details on specific congress dates, guidelines, and eligibility requirements are expected to be released in subsequent communications from the National Working Committee (NWC).
The PDP urged all members and stakeholders in the affected states to fully participate in the exercise and support efforts aimed at strengthening internal democracy and party cohesion.
