A 2027 House of Representatives aspirant in Osun State, Engr. Isaac Ademola Agoro, has laid the foundation for the construction of a world-class institution, Joshua Agoro College, at Erinmo Ijesha.
Agoro, who is the Managing Director of Protogy Global Services Limited and founder of the Ademola Isaac Agoro Engineering Empowerment Foundation, made the disclosure during the foundation-laying ceremony held on Wednesday.
Speaking at the event, Agoro described education as the bedrock of development and emphasized the need for Nigerians to prioritize quality learning.
According to him, the siting of the college in Erinmo Ijesha is aimed at accelerating the town’s growth and helping children in the community realize their full potential.
“The college, which will sit on 3.1 acres of land, is designed to rank among the best in Nigeria with modern facilities and state-of-the-art technology to sharpen the skills of students,” he said.
Agoro further assured that the school will be tuition-free without compromising quality and standards.
He encouraged prospective students not to feel limited by their backgrounds, noting that with commitment and hard work, they can achieve greatness.
In his remarks, Osun State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Dipo Eluwole, commended Agoro for his passion and love for his people.
He pledged the support and partnership of the state government to ensure the institution meets its objectives.
Also speaking, the Elerinmo of Erinmo, Oba (Dr.) Michael Odunayo Ajayi, lauded Agoro’s dedication, describing him as a pride to Erinmo Ijesha and Osun State at large.
He assured that the community would provide support and monitoring to ensure the timely completion of the project.
A former member of the House of Representatives, High Chief Nathaniel Agunbiade, also praised the initiative, describing it as a catalyst for development in the town.
The event featured cultural performances by students of Joshua Agoro, after which the Elerinmo, alongside other dignitaries, led the formal laying of the foundation.
